war. Additionally, to support ESGR activities for all Arkansas Reservist

Spc. James M. Clay
Spc. James M. Clay, 25, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Nov. 13 in Anbar Province, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

After spending several months conducting operations on the ground, one team of Soldiers with the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team got the opportunity to take it to the sky.

Arkansas influence.
Lt. Col. Jim Foot, civil military officer for the 39th Brigade, works with three Arkansas schools in partnering with the Airport Village schools. The participating schools are Arkansas Baptist High School and Chenal Elementary School, both in Little Rock, and Pine Forest Elementary School in Maumelle.

Major General (Ret.) Jones served as Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard February 1, 1979 to June 14, 1981 and from January 11, 1983 to February 10, 1984.

Briefing the Governor.
Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe (center) received a full briefing September 1 on Fort Chaffee operations to house, feed and take care of over 2,800 New Orleans and Gulf Coast residents who fled Hurricane Gustav.

Evacuees by the bus load.
Over 200 busses delivered 10,000 plus Hurricane Katrina evacuees to the Fort Chaffee Maneuver Training Center on September 3-4, 2005. Right at three years later, the Arkansas National Guard has now received its official mission to open the doors of the Fort Chaffee Maneuver Training Center once again.
