071 - 11 C10 Infantryman Mortar (MOSQ - Reclassification)

Purpose: To provide disciplined, motivated, physically fit and prepared
personnel for assignment duties in infantry units, and to classify them as infantry
mortar specialist.
Pre-requisites:
Height & Weight - You must meet the height and weight
standards of AR 600-9. You must be physically fit or possess a valid
waiver according to AR 40-501.
MOS Assignment - Soldiers who have completed initial entry
training (IET) and required entry level qualification based on present or projected
duty MOS/special qualification identifiers (SOI).
Orders/Pre-execution Checklist - Soldiers must bring a copy
of their orders/checklist. The pr-execution checklist will be completed
by appropriate unit personnel, verified and signed by the unit commander.
Soldier must have a signed pre-execution checklist in his/her possession upon
arrival to scheduled class. All soldiers over 40 years of age must possess
a
valid "Over 40 Medical Screening."
Academy Environment - Students are required to stay in barracks.
A 2300 hour curfew is in effect.
Location - You will report to Bldg 17500 NLT 1400 hours
on start date of course in physical fitness uniform.
Unit Responsibility - Units are responsible for their soldiers
pay, orders, ATRRS information, travel to and from training, and fuel for
military
vehicles.
Remarks - Soldiers need to be well versed in land navigation
and have a basic knowledge of 11B10 common core STP 7-11BCHM-SM. Soldiers
need to be participating in a PT program before reporting because of physical
demands of the course.
Equipment - Soldiers need all field equipment required in
the welcome letter that is on the ATRRS screen.
