171 - 19 D10 Cavalry Scout (HMMWV)
(MOSQ - Reclassification)
Purpose: This course is designed to teach the soldier the skills necessary
to be a Cavalry Scout. The course consists of training on NBC, mines,
demolitions, communications, map reading, and intelligence. The course
contains the critical tasks of the MOS 19D10 and presents them in a logical
sequence of training.
Pre-requisites:
APFT - You must possess a current DA Form 705 that is valid through
the length of the course.
Height & Weight - You must meet the height and weight
standards of AR 600-9. You must be physically fit or possess a valid
waiver according to AR 40-501.
MOS Assignment - Soldiers must be assigned or pending assignment
to a CMF 19D and have not been previously awarded the
MOS. Soldiers must b in the grade of PV1 - SFC. You must meet the
requirements of AR 611-201 for MOS 19D10.
Orders/Pre-execution Checklist - Soldiers must bring a copy of their
orders/pre-execution checklist dated
October 2004 AND 233
Regiment
In-Processing/Medical Sheet to this course. The pre-execution
checklist will be completed by appropriate unit personnel, verified and signed
by the unit commander. Soldier must have a signed pre-execution checklist
in his/her possession upon arrival to scheduled class.
Academy Environment - Students are not required to stay
overnight, however, academy standards are maintained.
Location - TBD
Unit Responsibility - Units are responsible for their soldiers
pay, orders, ATRRS information, travel to and from training, and fuel for military
vehicles.
